SCENARIO-BASED ORAL DIPLOMATE EXAM

The new Scenario-Based Oral Diplomate Exam is designed to objectively evaluate a sleep dentist’s knowledge, abilities and critical thinking, to credential them based on proficiency and clinical experience.

Scenario-Based testing is utilized by many medical and dental boards, and it allows for testing a large amount of subjects in a short period of time.

Scenarios and questions are developed by the ABSB and the ASBA Board members.

ELIGIBILITY

Pass ABSB Written Exam

Submit proof of 50 hours of CE in DSM

Submit current Dental License

The scenario-based examinations will be held at multiple locations during the year. In addition, examinations will always be given at the ASBA annual meeting, which is April 12-13, 2019 in Phoenix.

 

Examinees will be presented with cases, and asked how they would proceed. Two board members will be present, for each examination.
